Dealing with life in general can often be very hectic. So many situations, unexpected events, and people with less than desirable attitudes often become part of our world and there’s not much we can do about it. These situations and people leave us feeling used, mistreated, deceived, or just plain irritated. When this happens we need to talk about it but often times we don’t thus giving power to the situation or person. Get Your Power Back is a place where you can come and feel free to express yourself. Work, school, home, the mall, or life in general it doesn't matter. Talk about it! Get it out! All we ask is that you refrain from discussing adult material or using extreme profane language! Get Your Power Back!! You’ll feel so much better.
Just remember that the whole world is able to read what you write. This is not one of those self-help anger management strategies where you write down what's bothering you, crumple it up and burn it or throw it away. This stays around and can bite you in the b--- if you don't have all your facts together, or you could find yourself sued for libel if you accuse a person or company of something that cannot be proved in a court of law (a pretty expensive undertaking if it came to that).
ReplyDeleteAs I get older, now at 73, I worry a lot less about what people think of me and what I am doing.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the JudyNV, maybe we should use this forum for something more constructive.
ReplyDeleteGet Your Power Back is the brain child of my cousin. I'm just using a shell for the purposes of this class. My role will mostly be technical and ensuring the blog runs properly. She has consulted with her attorney and when we truly go live there will be legal verbage and disclaimers on the site. The overall purpose of the site is to help those that tend to keep issues bottled up to relieve tension and stress. Posts will reviewed prior to being available for the world to see. Offensive content, adult themed, or posts that mention individuals/organizations by name will not be allowed.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned, I would take caution in the opinions shared, but I think if you have all your duckies in row it could be a enjoyable blog.
